He has years of experience playing in restaurants, hotels, weddings, corporate functions and festivals here and in Spain and can read the audience like the palm of his hand. His enormous repertoire covers popular music from the 1920's to now, jazz, rock'n'roll, Latin, soul, Motown, folk, classical to name a few. His other speciality : "Live-Karaoke" shows can be a stand alone show or incorporated into his solo show. Martin can draw on his enormous repertoire of songs and huge experience to provide nearly any style of music from smooth dinner-set jazz to up-tempo dance songs featuring songs from the 1920’s to the present day. He is expert at reading a crowd and can provide a variety of music in any situation to keep everyone happy. Ballroom dance afficianados will especially love his ability to play popular Latin dance styles (sung in fluent Spanish) such as salsa, cha cha, merengue, samba, tango, rhumba as well as jive, waltz and hip-hop. James Brennan-Queensland. James Brennan covers acoustic music from 50's to current day with excellent vocals and loads of audience interaction. James’ experience is broad, having performed in a number of top Cabaret and Cover bands including Sydney’s “Underdogs’ and “Real Gone Cats” widely accepted as two of the principal cover bands in Australia of the 80’s and 90’s recording albums with both these bands and others. James also starred in the Johnny O’Keefe Tribute Show, which toured Australia and New Zealand in 1998-2000. James has made many Television performances, performing original material, winning the “Ricky May Award” on Channel 9’s New Faces in 1989. His experience as a cabaret performer enables him to draw on vast entertainment knowledge whilst performing, ensuring a full and pleasurable experience. James has supported such well-known acts as, Joe Camilleri, Dragon, The Cockroaches, blues guitar legend, Kevin Borich to name a few. He has also supported comedians Austentayshis and George Smilovich. James’ repertoire includes such diverse styles as Tom Jones and Robbie Williams to 3 Doors Down and Coldplay. Hugh McDonald has enjoyed a successful career as a singer, guitarist and violinist touring Australia and the world with one of Australia’s leading bands of the 1980’s, Redgum .Before joining Redgum in 1981 he played and recorded with The Bushwackers Band, The Sundowners , Moving Cloud and The Colonials . He currently performs solo or with an acoustic trio. He has a vast knowledge of Irish song and dance tunes and plays fiddle, guitar, mandolin and mandocello. The 60’s was a wonderful era for music and I grew up listening to the likes of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Cliff Richard etc; Needless to say the 60’s influenced my taste for music.Performing in 5star hotels 6 nights a week for these many years has given me the experience I would never gotten any other way. It has honed my skills as an Instrumentalist and Vocalist, perfecting all the great Standards. Not forgetting the Cha-chas, Bossanovas, Rumbas and Swing that make up the very special blend of music that you play in 5 star surroundings. Of course living in India I have dabbled in Indian Classical music and in fact recorded a Jazz Fusion album with a band called “Megha”. My name is on the credits as Keyboardist. Although 5 star hotels have been my main source of employment, my exposure to other venues of entertainment too has been quite extensive. I have performed for numerous Corporate gigs, Wedding receptions and House parties. My repertoire of Rock ‘n Roll, Jive and Cha-cha have made me a favourite choice for Dances in Bangalore, India. |
