In 1974, she became Ernie Sigleys’ barrel girl on The Ernie Sigley Show earning the nick-name Ding Dong. Denise has won two Gold logies and several Silver Logies. Over the years Denise Drysdale has appeared regularly on numerous television shows including The Ernie and Denise show which was very popular viewing. The show consists of an hour or so tracing Willie Nelson's early beginnings, his hits which he wrote for others such as Crazy and Hullo Walls, his Stardust recordings through to his later hits (e.g. Always on my mind). The show includes stories about Willie to introduce the various songs. After the second half of the show is done I will take another break and then return with an hour of rock & roll dance music so that the audience can let their hair down. The historic homestead located at Woodlands Historic Park gives visitors a glimpse of the landscape of settlers in the 1840's. The homestead is a rare example of an early prefabricated building, and the park also contains ruins of two other 19th century homesteads, Cumberland and Dundonald The homestead is surrounded by magnificent gardens which have been extensively restored. The gardens include magnolias which are the oldest in the state.There are activities for the students, picnic areas for lunch, flora and fauna to see and best of all get close to the champion horses. |

They looked spectacular, dressed in a sea of brightly colored hand beaded tops and the audience was truly dazzled by their obvious talents as musicians. The music proved to be a popular choice with many commenting on how delightful it was to know every song. This band sticks to the standards to give that true 1940’s experience. Connie, who put the band together, is all you could ask for in a front person with a voice that simply releases the melody and a wicked sense of humor. |
