Belle Musette-Melbourne Take a trip through the golden age of French musette, swing jazz and chanson with the Melbourne based trio Belle Musette, an ensemble specialising in the music of Paris from the 1930s and 40s. Be enchanted by the romantic sounds of the accordion, accompanied by a strong rhythmic pulse from the guitar, and anchored by double bass. Vocals are performed mostly in French. Philip McLeod-Melbourne Philip McLeod is a multi-instrumentalist, performer and composer. He co-founded Blue Grassy Knoll, a group that performs original soundtracks to Buster Keaton films. They have toured everywhere from a New York Broadway season to Brazil, and received numerous five star reviews in Edinburgh. He has just returned from a North American and European tour with the Spaghetti Western Orchestra and recently has also been playing cello with ARIA award winning vocalist Missy Higgins, double bass with Edinburgh favourites Mikelangelo and the Black Sea Gentlemen and recording and performing with Children’s Rock Band The Mighty Buzzniks. He composes for Nuevo-Tango ensemble Bellocq and plays accordion in the club scene with Electro-Tango band Tangazo. He works regularly with Irish Cabaret singer Camille O'Sullivan and Russian criminal band Vulgagrad and has been the resident musician for the Edinburgh and Melbourne seasons of the Famous Spiegeltents internationally acclaimed show La Clique. He has played on the recordings of many of Australia's leading musicians and continues to perform and write music for dance and theatre productions. Playing French, Italian, Klezmer, Gypsy, Jazz and Tango’s on his accordion, roaming entertainer Phil will bring an authentic European atmosphere full of colour and life to any event or celebration.

Elvis j-Fiderado-Melbourne Elvis J. Figredo is ankeyboard Instrumentalist/Singer from India. The 60’s was a wonderful era for music and I grew up listening to the likes of Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Cliff Richard etc; Needless to say the 60’s influenced my taste for music. In my teens, Donnie and Marie Osmond, Pussycats, George Baker’s Selection and Abba. I used to sing the songs of Olivia Newton John, Susan Ray, and Linda Ronsdat etc; as I did not suffer the dramatic change in voice as most young men do. In the 80’s the Bee Gees were very popular with their No. 1 hit “Staying Alive” and even now I am known for my rendition of Bee Gees songs in Bangalore, India. Till today I am very comfortable singing in the upper register. My greatest vocal influence has to be Freddie Mercury. Also included would be George Michael, Stevie Wonder and Elton John. From then on I have been on keyboards playing under contracts with all the 5star hotels in Bangalore, India. First, as a member of the “Wild Cherries” for 2 years at the Hotel Bangalore International. Then, with the “Electric Spirit” for 4 years at the Windsor Manor Sheraton and Towers, Bangalore, India. Then with my own band which I formed and called “The Web” which I lead for 8 years under contract with the “Le Meridian” Bangalore, India. Then I went Solo around 1995 and continued in the same hotel for 2 years as Soloist. Then at the “Taj West End” for the next 8 years. My last contract was with The Leela Palace, a 7star hotel in Bangalore, India. Performing in 5star hotels 6 nights a week for these many years has given me the experience I would never gotten any other way. It has honed my skills as an Instrumentalist and Vocalist, perfecting all the great Standards. Not forgetting the Cha-chas, Bossanovas, Rumbas and Swing that make up the very special blend of music that you play in 5 star surroundings. Of course living in India I have dabbled in Indian Classical music and in fact recorded a Jazz Fusion album with a band called “Megha”. My name is on the credits as Keyboardist. Although 5 star hotels have been my main source of employment, my exposure to other venues of entertainment too has been quite extensive. I have performed for numerous Corporate gigs, Wedding receptions and House parties. My repertoire of Rock ‘n Roll, Jive and Cha-cha have made me a favourite choice for Dances in Bangalore, India.
