Country 12-Prarie-MelbourneThe Praries got their name from a popular Texan delicacy. That simple fact reveals the bands twisted sense of humour and lets all know that this is a band that is about playing music with balls and having a good time. While predominately American Country, they also cross over to Rock A Billy, Southern Rock and Blues. Excellent band highly recommended.

Country 13-MelbourneThe Duo originally came together in early 2008 when Darrell (guitarist from way back) discovered John (lead vocals / drummer) doing a guest vocal spot with the band Mustang. This was not long after John had arrived from Joplin, Missouri, USA, where John was bourn and raised. John has been singing on stage since the age of six with an extended family on musicians. More recently John has performed in the capitol city of county music, Nashville. Darrell was taken with the sincerity and range as John delivered his songs and immediately identified an opportunity to bring Johns’ talents and experience to the Australian public and set about to building a band (and duo) around John, to enable the public the rare chance to experience an original American doing the songs from his home country. Audiences have been quoted as saying we love the original material that RENEGADE do, not realizing that they are songs from the states that they have not had the opportunity to listen to, until now. They also say it is so refreshing to have the choice rather than to listen to just another covers band doing the same old songs they have been listening to for decades. Inspiration comes from artists like:- Dwight Yoakam, Brooks and Dunn, Travis Tritt, Rodney Crowell, Alan Jackson, Ricky Van Shelton, Marty Stuart, George Strait and Vince Gill. Can be 4 piece band |
