Tiago Brissos-MelbourneA charismatic performer and entertainer Tiago is now trying to assert himself as a performer in the Australian Music scene, working with an engaging repertoire ranging from Bach to contemporary compositions and always trying to bring to the audience music with some kind of connection to popular roots making it easy for the listener to identify even with the most challenging works. During the time Tiago lived in Portugal he had the chance to study and attend master classes with the leading guitarists of his country and established himself as an aspiring young performer, touring through the country in solo performances as well as in numerous chamber music formations. Tiago has a diverse music repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary compositions but I give special attention to pieces in which the composer has some kind of root in folk music, south American, Spanish or Easter European for example. It’s an eclectic and engaging repertoire where there is always an element to which the audience can relate. Apart from Tiago's standard concert repertoire he can also play a varied range of simpler pieces, from renascence to contemporary music, and is happy to prepare any pieces requested given enough time. |

They also play Tango, Gypsy, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Greek, Italian and Irish (just for fun). The group will tailor the music to suit the requirements of your audience and your venue. Continental Drift, also has a completely mobile set-up which means it can play anywhere outdoors and in a large venue can change position several times if needed, The band is also happy to play acoustically if that is more suitable. The band loves to play gypsy music because of the combination of instruments and their common attraction towards the beautiful melodies, dramatic mood swings and high energy inherent in this Eastern European musical style. They have found a wide range of audiences responded positively to the music because of its haunting melodies, passion and liveliness. The band has also pursued the very gypsy tradition of serenading people at their tables and attempting any special requests thrown their way. The barriers between the band and the listeners breakdown - the audience often joins in singing and are more willing to get up and dance. Because of the diverse groups of people this band plays for, other European music crept in. Hence the equally exciting styles of Tango, Jewish, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Italian, Greek, Irish, and Latin are explored. Emily-harpist-MelbourneEmily has performed in many different styles and has been a part of the world or folk scene performing several times at the Boite with “Jade”, “Sunwrae” and as part of the “Jewish Music Festival”. In 2006 she was honored to perform as a soloist in “The Melbourne Philharmonic Orchestra’s Irish Songs of Praise” with renowned Australian soprano, Annalisa Kerrigan. Her love of the instrument's individuality and diversity is displayed with Burgundy Brown, comprising Adi Sappir on Cello and Talia Browne on Percussion, who mix it up with an original fusion of middle-eastern melodies, African drumming and intense vocal harmonies. Emily has played occasionally with urban blues/rock singer/songwriter Lisa Miller and band on the festival circuit, (Port Fairy Folk Festival, Queenscliff Festival) and at the world famous Spiegel tent.

The diversity in the performance and the music and comedy crosses all boundaries of background, nationality and culture, and really helps to put the audience in a positive, celebratory and uplifted mood. The group can also prepare a special song and other material with lyrics related to the client and industry.
